Shraddha-BMC_Logo_NewTag-TransCalling all pregnant people, doulas, labor & delivery nurses, midwives and yoga teachers!
We warmly welcome women, men, and non-binary people.

Pregnancy and Birth is a profound time of transformation and a pathway to awakening.  It is a rite of passage that changes our lives forever.  A time of miracle and awe as we witnesses the becoming of a new being inside our bodies. This transformation is happening daily – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually and it is both difficult and wonderful. The practices and wisdom of yoga are a profound support to people going through this life passage.

The Spirit of Birthing Mama is rooted in LOVE.  It is about offering people love, support, comfort, encouragement, and truth.  It is about holding space for people as they are.  Holding them as they move, sense, and feel their way into this very sacred and often challenging time of life.  Birthing Mama seeks to align with the spirit of the Divine Mother and the Sacred Feminine to help restore the balance that is so very needed on planet earth. Birthing Mama supports all beings through conception, pregnancy, birth and parenting through the practices of Yoga and Ayurveda.

Our 90- Hour Teacher Training will provide you with rich experiences and prepare you to teach public prenatal and postnatal yoga classes and to support a pregnant person when they show up to your public drop-in classes.  The material presented is also extremely useful for your doula, midwifery, labor & delivery nurse and private yoga clients.  We also highly encourage pregnant pregnant people to attend just for themselves as a way to dive deeply into awakening through embodied pregnancy!  And the material is supportive for YOU – you as a teacher, a nurse, a doula, and a midwife to take care of YOURSELF as you serve others day after day.

This training is for YOU if:

  • You yourself are pregnant and want to learn, grow, and nourish yourself as you move through this profound (yes challenging and beautiful) time in life
  • You love teaching yoga and want to dive into a specialty
  • You want to empower yourself and your community by cultivating intuition and inner guidance
  • You want to bring more positivity, truth and authenticity to the current birth culture
  • You want to connect spiritually to the Divine Mother and the various aspects of Her Love
  • You want to help restore the balance of the Sacred Feminine and Sacred Masculine…Shakti/Siva…Yin/Yang
  • You already serve people in the childbearing years in some way (midwife, doula, labor & delivery nurse, childbirth educator) and want to add to your services as well as learn yogic practices to support you in taking better care of yourself (before, during & after work) and your clients
  • You already teach public yoga classes and want to be educated so that you can lovingly and safely welcome pregnant people when they drop in to your classes
  • You want to teach public prenatal and postnatal yoga classes, private sessions, and workshops pertaining to the childbearing years
  • You love Embodyoga® (greatly informed by Body-Mind-Centering®) and want to see how it applies to pre and post natal yoga
