Living OM helps you expand on all levels. We’re talking MIND, BODY, and SOUL.

Living OM (OM standing for Off the Mat) looks at three fundamentals of yoga: love, balance, and compassion. I often find that it’s easy to lose these when we’re not on the mat.

This six week series will allow the students to look at love balance and compassion in depth including when we may neglect and fall short in those areas. The goal is to bring awareness so we can increase love balance and compassion in our everyday lives. Every 2 weeks we will focus on a new one of these elements. Every week there will be a take home practice to solidify that week’s objectives.

Every two weeks we will be observing, discussing, and practicing activities that will help us gain a better understanding of ourselves. When we better understand ourselves, we can then understand our families and the community that surrounds us.

*Note: Similar to an asana practice, it takes time. In this space we hold respect, patience, and vulnerability with and for ourselves and each other.

What will each class be like?

Mind

Every week we will meet as a group on zoom. I will ask you a lot of questions to help you think about how you’re living and being in your life. You’ll increase your awareness so you can build on the thoughts that’ll help you grow the most. Some questions we’ll talk about openly and others will be journaled on.

Body

To help ground your body, there will be an awareness based practice every time we meet that you can use throughout the week. This practice helps you call in and feel that week’s intention around finding more love, balance and compassion in your life. Meditation, somatic movement, EFT, and affirmative language is how we’ll establish love, balance, and compassion.

Soul

Throughout Living OM, there’ll be a lot of time for you to tap into your soul to see what it really needs and wants. The energy awareness practices you do will help you shift and expand your internal energy to the energy you need to increase love balance and compassion in your life.

In these online morning meditations, Matthew will lead you into an experience of the inner peace and tranquility that are native to your being.
