Video: Kundalini Yoga at YCA

Warm up this winter with our Kundalini Yoga class, led by SiriNam Singh Khalsa every Sunday, 6:45-8pm at YCA. It’s a great Moderate/Vigorous option incorporating pranayama, asana, chanting, and meditation. Watch our video to learn more!

SiriNam Singh Khalsa
is a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor and musician with over 30 years of teaching experience. During the 1990s, SiriNam taught a popular Kundalini yoga class at UMass Amherst, and has since been teaching an ongoing Saturday morning class in his home in Leverett. He shares in his classes the technology of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, which includes conscious breathing (pranayama), postures and movement (asana), sound vibration (gong), chanting (mantra) and meditation, to experience the highest consciousness through raising the Kundalini. You can expect soothing guitar accompaniment in SiriNam’s classes during relaxation and meditation.

SiriNam has directed Khalsa Youth Camp, an international summer camp in New Mexico, for over 20 years, where he works together with his longtime friend Snatam Kaur and many other inspired teachers to give children the Kundalini yoga experience. With Snatam Kaur, SiriNam recently recorded a CD called SAT NAM! as a fundraiser for Khalsa Camp. The CD has inspiring chants and songs for children of all ages (and adults!). To experience the project, check out this YouTube video.
